【Deep Fried Lotus Root Meatballs】

These lotus root meatballs are easy to make and so tasty. A great dish for dinner parties and family meals.

Serves: 12 servings
Ingredients:
1) 350g extra lean ground pork;
2) 3 green onions finely chopped, 1.5 tsp ginger freshly minced, 1 tsp sugar, 2/3 tsp salt, 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp dark soy sauce, 1 tbsp Yummy House soy sauce, 1/4 tsp chicken broth mix, 2 tbsp corn starch, 1/6 tsp thirteen scented spice or white pepper powder, 1.5 tbsp sesame oil, 2 tbsp water;
3) 450g lotus root;
4) ¼ cup all purpose flour, 2 tbsp water;
5) 3 cups corn oil.
Directions:
1: Combine all ingredients of Ingredient 1) to 2) in a bowl (Picture 1). Stir in one direction for 3 minutes with a wooden spoon, until the mixture becomes sticky.
2: Peel lotus root and rinse with water, then chop finely (Picture 2). Add to the meat, then add 1/4 cup flour and 2 tbsp water, stir in one direction for another 2 minutes, until well mixed (Picture 3).
