【Chinese celery and chicken breast stir fry】
by MaomaoMom
Chinese celery is thin with more distinct flavor. I bought an organic chicken today and used chicken breast for this dish; it is very delicious and low calorie dish.
Prepare time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 8 minutes
Level: Easy
Serves: 4 servings
Ingredients:
1) 200g organic chicken breast, 1/3 tsp salt, 1 tsp corn starch, 1.5 tbsp cold water;
2) 3 small dried Chinese mushrooms and 3 black woodears;
3) 250g Chinese celery;
4) 2 tbsp olive oil, 1.5 tsp freshly shredded ginger, 1.5 tbsp freshly chopped green onion;
5) 1 tbsp premium soy sauce, ¼ tsp salt, 1/8 tsp ground white pepper, 1/6 tsp chicken broth mix;
6) 1 tsp sesame oil .
Directions:
1: Rinse and pat dry chicken breast. Slice the breast then cut into shreds. Rub on the rest of ingredients of Ingredient 1) (Picture 1) for 1-2 minutes then set aside for 20 minutes (Picture 2). It will taste better and more tender if the meat is marinated overnight. Soak dried mushrooms and woodears ahead of time until soft, clean and slice (Picture 3). Remove leafs of celery, wash with water and drain. Cut celery into 5 cm long pieces, set aside
2: Heat 1 tbsp olive oik in a non-stick sauté pan over medium-high heat, add chicken meat (Picture 4), stir and cook until outside turns white, transfer to a plate and set aside.
3: Same pan on medium-high heat, sauté minced ginger and chopped green onion of Ingredient 4) for 45 seconds (Picture 5). Add the mushroom and woodear shreds (Picture 6), stir and cook for 30 seconds. Add celery, stir and cook for 1-2 minutes (Picture 7).
4: Add all ingredients of Ingredient 5), stir to mix. Add previously cooked chicken breast (Picture 8), and 1 tsp sesame oil stir to mix. Transfer to a serving plate, serve with some steamed rice.
Nice read, I just passed this onto a friend who was doing some research on that. And he just bought me lunch because I found it for him smile Therefore let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch! “There are places and moments in which one is so completely alone that one sees the world entire.” by Jules Renard.
