【Shrimp with Garlic and Crunchy Bread Crumbs】

Tender and delicious shrimp crusted with garlic and crunchy bread crumbs, this shrimp recipe, which originated in Hong Kong, is one of our favorite seafood dishes.

Ingredients:

1) 600g white shrimp;
2) 1/2 tsp salt, 1/6 tsp ground white pepper, 2 tsp corn starch, 1 tsp sesame oil;
3) 3 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp freshly chopped green onion, 4 tbsp freshly minced garlic, ¼ tsp salt, 6 tbsp fine bread crumbs, 1/6 tsp ground Sichuan pepper;
4) 1 tsp cooking wine, 1 tbsp freshly chopped green onion.

Directions:

1: Peel and devein the shrimp, rinse under cold water and drain well. Add all ingredients of Ingredient 2) (Picture 1), combine well and set aside for 20 minutes (Picture 2). Heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat in non-stick sauté pan. Sauté shrimp until the color starts to turn pink (Picture 3). Remove from the pan and set aside.

2: In the same non-stick pan, heat 2 tbsp olive oil and sauté the green onion and mince garlic in Ingredient 3) for one minute (Picture 4). Add bread crumbs, salt and ground Sichuan pepper, stir (Picture 5) for a few minutes until bread crumbs turn golden.

3: Put back the shrimp and sauté for 30 seconds. Add 1 tsp cooking wine, stir to coat shrimp with bread crumbs. Remove from heat, stir in 1 tbsp finely chopped green onion and transfer to a serving plate.
