【Balsamic Soy Braised Pork Ribs】

This is an easy and lovely pork rib recipe, my family loves it.

Serves: 5 servings

Ingredients:

1) 900g spareribs;
2) 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 green onions rinsed and chopped into 2 inch long, 2-3 slices of fresh ginger, 1 anise star, 2 cloves;
3) 1 tbsp cooking wine, 1 tbsp premium dark soy sauce, 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tsp sugar, 1.5 tsp balsamic vinegar, 1.5 cup water.

Directions:
1: Remove membrane from the back of the ribs (Picture 1), wash and cut into small pieces. Place the ribs in a bowl that is filled with boiling water for 2 minutes. Rinse under cold water and set aside.

2: Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a non-stick sauté pan over medium-high heat. Sauté green onion, sliced ginger, anise star and cloves for 30 seconds (Picture 2). Then add ribs, stir and cook for 2 minutes (Picture 3).

3: Add all ingredients of Ingredient 3) and bring to a boil (Picture 4). Turn to medium-low heat and simmer for 1 hour with the lid on, stir occasionally.

4: Remove the lid and continue cook on medium-high heat until the sauce is reduced down to about 2 tablespoons.

5: Transfer the braised ribs to a serving bowl, and serve with rice. Yummy!!
