【Green Daikon salad】

This is a very simple and low calorie dish, great for a summer day.

Serves: 5 servings
Ingredients:
1) 1 large green daikon (725g), 1 tsp salt;
2) 1 tbsp sesame oil ;
3) 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar;
4) ½ tsp sugar;
5) 1/6 tsp chicken broth mix;
6) ¼ tsp salt.
Directions:
1: Peel off skin of the daikon (Picture 1), rinse with water and cut into thin matchstick-sized strips (Picture 2).
2: Place daikon strips in a clean bowl, add 1tsp salt and mix well (Picture 3), let stand for 20 minutes.
3: Squeeze daikon strips to remove excess water and place in a clean bowl, add all ingredients of Ingredient 2)-6) (Picture 6) and toss to coat well.
4: In summer, chill green daikon salad in a fridge for 1 hour before serving.
Your instruction is to peel off the skin of the daikon, yet the picture shown the skin was left on after sliced. I am very confused. Pls confirm that you want the skin off.
Yes, skin off. If you look more closely, the skin is off in the picture, under the skin it is still green.
Tks for your reply. I have never had daikon before. Therefore I don’t know even after the skin is off, the flesh part is still green. It is interesting to know.
