【Braised pork ribs in soy sauce】

Started to prepare dinner late on Sunday afternoon and my son Maomao loves some meat for dinner. Quickly taking out my favorite new InstantPot 7-in-1 pressure cooker and in just 50 minutes, this lovely dish was ready. Maomao had a quite a few pieces of braised pork ribs, finger licking good en!
Prepare time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 45 minutes
Level: Low
Serves: 6 servings
Ingredients:
1) 1000g spareribs;
2) 1 tbsp olive oil, 3-4 slices of fresh ginger, 1 green onion rinsed and chopped into 2 inches long pieces, 1 star anise, 2 cloves;
5) 1.5 tbsp anka sauce or 1.5 tsp red yeast rice;
4) 1 tbsp cooking wine, 1.5 tbsp premium dark soy sauce, 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tbsp premium light soy sauce, 1/2 tsp salt, 1.5 tbsps honey, 4 tbsp water;
Directions:
1: Wash the ribs with warm water and cut between bones into small pieces. Soak ribs in boiling water for 2 minutes (Picture 1), drain, rinse and drain.
2: Add 1 tbsp oil to InstantPot pressure cooker , select “Saute” function “High” and sauté green onion, ginger, anise and cloves (Picture 2) for 1 minute. Then add anka sauce or red yeast rice and ribs, stir and cook for 2 minutes (Picture 3).
3: Add cooking wine and stir a few times. All all ingredients of Ingredient 4) (Picture 4), cover the lid and place the pressure valve to “Seal” position. Press “Manual” button and set 35 minutes of cooking time. (Picture 5).
4: When the program is done, wait another 5 minutes. Slowly release the pressure then open the lid (Picture 6). Select “Sauté” and set temperature to “high”, stir occasionally until the sauce is reduced to 1/4.
5: Place the cooked meat into to a serving bowl, serve immediately over rice. Yummy!!
