All newer models of InstantPot , such as 7-1, 9-1 and 10-1 have Yogurt function, very convenient to make your favored yogurt yourself!
Prepare time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 8-9 hours
Level: low
Serves: 6 servings
Ingredients:
1. 1L 2% milk;
2. 2 tbsp your favored plain yogurt;
3: 2T sugar (optional).
Directions:
1: It is recommended to thoroughly wash container, cups and spoon needed and then rinse with just boiled water.
2: Plug in your InstantPot, add 1L milk to the inner pot (Picture 1), close the lid, valve in close position, press 【Yogurt】key and adjust to more (or High Temp) for boil and start (Picture 2).
3: When program ends (about 10-15 minutes), open the lid and take out the inner pot and place in ¼ cold water filled sink to cool the milk (Picture 3) for about 10 minutes. Remove the “skin” from the surface.
4: Add 2 tbsp your favored plain yogurt (Picture 4) and sugar in the cleaned-bowl, then pour warm mike to the bowl, stir with a spoon to mix well (Picture 5). Divid the milk into 4-5 cups.
5: Add 1 cup water to the inner pot and place its rack inside and place cups filled with milk on the rack (Picture 6). Close the lid and press/select 【Yogurt】key and select normal 8 hours or Med Temp. for 8 hours and start the program.
6: When it is done, take out the yogurt and chill for 3 hours before serving.
